Student Voice

Student Voice

We believe that our students’ opinions, ideas, and thoughts are essential in shaping the school experience. We actively listen to their feedback to evaluate what they appreciate about their school and identify areas where we can enhance their experience. Student voice is a key part of our commitment to providing an inclusive, supportive environment where all students feel valued and heard.

Through various activities, students gain vital leadership experience and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the school community. One of the key platforms for student leadership is the Student Union, which is made up of student-elected representatives from each class. These representatives are responsible for gathering student opinions and working with staff to bring about positive changes.

In Sixth Form, our students are represented by the Head Boy and Head Girl, who act as role models for the rest of the student body. They work closely with the school leadership team, sharing the voice of our students and representing CSB at various events both on and off-campus. These positions not only provide leadership opportunities but also give students a platform to advocate for their peers.

We also offer Secondary and Sixth Form students platforms such as focus groups, allowing them to express their thoughts on key aspects of school life. These groups focus on areas such as teaching and learning, pastoral care, school events, and extra-curricular activities. Through these initiatives, students have a direct role in reviewing, evaluating, and suggesting potential changes to improve their school experience.

At CSB, we are committed to empowering our students and giving them a voice in how the school develops, ensuring that they feel heard, respected, and active participants in their educational journey.
