Primary

Primary education at Cambridge School of Bucharest is designed to ensure progression and continuity for each child, with a strong focus on developing key numeracy and literacy skills. Primary School includes Years 1 through 6 and forms the foundation for academic development and personal growth.

Our primary curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England, building upon the development and learning students experience in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This ensures a seamless transition and supports the continued growth of students as they move through their early years of education.

Throughout Primary School, students not only enhance their reading and maths abilities but also enjoy a broad and balanced curriculum that includes Art, Design & Technology, PSCHEE (Personal, Social, Citizenship, and Health Education), Geography, History, Science, Music, Modern Foreign Languages, Education for Sustainable Development, and Physical Education.

Physical development is a key focus at this stage, and our students participate in a variety of physical activities, both within the curriculum and as part of our extensive extra-curricular programme. This promotes not only fitness but also teamwork, confidence, and the development of motor skills.
