Admissions FAQ

Admissions FAQ

Our admissions process is designed to be simple, transparent, and personal. Families begin by submitting a Web Enquiry Form, followed by a discussion with our Admissions Team. Applicants are invited for an assessment and meeting with our Academic Team, and once documents and fees are submitted, the place is confirmed.

CSB welcomes students from Nursery (age 3+) to Year 13 (age 18), following the British Key Stage system. This includes Early Years, Primary, Secondary, and Sixth Form, where students complete either A Levels or the IB Diploma Programme.

English is the main language of instruction. Non-native English speakers in Primary receive EAL (English as an Additional Language) support to help them settle confidently.

Students can choose from a range native languages including Chinese, Arabic, Turkish, and Romanian (for both native and non-native speakers), as well as non-native Modern Foreign Language options of French, German, and Spanish.

Year group placement is based on a child’s age as of 31 August, following the Curriculum for England. This may differ slightly from the Romanian system, where Clasa 0 exists as a preparatory year. Our approach ensures students are placed according to their academic readiness and developmental stage.
