CSB VISION

"Admitting a child is the beginning, teaching is progress, promoting a student is our success"

High School

The high-school has a special atmosphere of study and the key to it is the size of small to medium classes. Each student is encouraged to develop his /her abilities both in academic and extra-school activities such as sport/debate/art.

Although we are a selective school and our students are expected to follow both the SABIS and Cambridge curricula. We are flexible with the particular interests of our students as they can choose a foreign language such as French ,German, Arabic, Romanian or Turkish.

Moral and social development is encouraged through positions of responsibility. We have advisory sessions on education, career and guidance, sessions attended with much interest by our students since such activities contribute to a better understanding of opportunities for future study and at the same time help build on self confidence society.
Grades 9 and 10 study 12 IGCSE. Students decide which exams they want to apply for, according to their academic interest and further study in grades 11 and 12.

These subjects includes:

English language and Literature,  Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Business, Economics, ICT, Modern Languages, French/German, History, Geography, Art, Drama, Physical Education.

Grade 11 and 12 students study towards their AS and A level exams.
There are two sections “Science “ and “Language and Art”. Therefore, students can opt for either of them, taking into consideration their interest ,skills and abilities in the career they want to pursue.
Our school organizes weekly assessment tests for the main subjects: English Language and Literature and Mathematics.

The marking scheme is 97-95/100 which corresponds to A* going down to 62-60/100 which corresponds to D ; below 60 means F (failed) and students have to retake the exam.

All aspects of education are carefully considered so that our students can climb the ladder of success bearing in mind that.

“Reading makes a full man, conference a ready man, and writing an exact man.”
