BNR - Visit on December 2015

The students have enjoyed a presentation of the activity of the Romanian stock exchange and the focus has been on bringing awareness about the impact that it has over the private sector. The visit has been led by an expert in financial education that has over-viewed with them the main theoretical concepts that they should be aware of in terms of the Romanian market and she has presented them some real life case studies.

 While visiting the National Bank of Romania, the students have seen the formal council room where the Governor and the council members gather round for the most important events and they have been engaged in an interactive discussion about the relevance of the bank throughout the history of Romania, such as the place where transactions were taking place, the governors that have successfully kept balance in the economy throughout the changes in government that we have been faced in the last two centuries. Also, they have been shown the currencies that have circulated in our economy dating back as far as four centuries BC. The trip has enhanced their knowledge about the relevance of a stable currency in the market and also the importance of a balanced intervention of a National Bank.
